Reg Med i Capitol Hill

The U.S. Capitol Complex is the home of the Legislative Branch of the United States federal government, and seat of the United States Congress. It is commonly referred to as Capitol Hill and houses all U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate office buildings, the Library of Congress, and the symbol of democracy, the U.S. Capitol.

Idag startar en 2 dagars infokampanj riktad till amerikanska senatorer och högre befattningshavare inom den amerikanska administrationen. Det sker på plats i Washington, Capitol Hill dit större aktörer inom Reg Med tagit sig för att förklara,övertyga och skynda på div processer för att få ett brett godkännande av tekniken. Organisationen Alliance for Regenerative Medicine (ARM) genomför varje år en Fly-In som är en aktivitet vilken samlar gräddan av Reg Med,dessa gräddbakelser flygs in vid ett och samma tillfälle och träffar på utvald plats policymakers och andra för Reg Med viktiga personer. "Good old american lobbying you know."

2023 års Fly-In är som jag förstår det en Grande Finale och slutstationen på all lobbying. Man når alla viktiga beslutsfattare öga mot öga i princip. Att man fått fysiskt tillträde till den mäktigaste platsen i USA säger nåt om hur framgångsrik man varit och att man släpps fram till alla beslutsfattare av vikt berättar väl även det hur viktig man anser den Regenerativa Medicinen är.

Cell & Gene Congressional Fly-In

ARM’s annual Congressional Fly-In will be held May 9-10, 2023. 

For this program, ARM members come together to represent the cell and gene therapy sector to policymakers on Capitol Hill. 

This Fly-In provides the opportunity to share the sector’s promise and priorities with the Representatives and Senators who act on behalf our members’ districts and states. 

These voices are critical to ensuring that policymakers understand the unique nature of these therapies and the policies needed to deliver them to patients.

This briefing will cover the “legislative asks” that will be made during ARM’s Lobby Day.

5:00pm – 5:30pm | Congressional Team Huddles

ARM’s Lobby Day attendees will take time to connect with their team leader to go over the group’s schedule and the “legislative asks” that will be made.

ARM’s Lobby Day will kick off with a breakfast at the Reserve Officers Association / Reserve Organization of America.

9:00am – 4:00pm | Lobby Day

Venue: Various locations around Capitol Hill

Dress Code: Business Attire

Please join us in representing our sector before Members of Congress and/or Congressional staff. These meetings will be held in a group format and directed by a trained team leader. Each team is provided with talking points and “legislative asks” ahead of time.

5:00pm – 7:00pm | Lobby Day Reception

Venue: Reserve Officers Association / Reserve Organization of America, 1 Constitution Ave NE, Washington, D.C.

Following a day of meetings on Capitol Hill, join us for a widely attended reception with Congressional staff, ARM leaders, sector colleagues, and other stakeholders.
