We are proud and happy that results on our hashtag#Holomonitor by Phase Holographic Imaging were presented by hashtag#MEFRI team on last week's Power of Viruses conference in Zadar. Thank you Ivona Viduka for acknowledgement and for a great collaboration! It was an honor to work with you and the whole team.

During the conference, we also had a lecture on emerging viruses from another perspective, talking about trends in cell and gene therapy market.

Konferensen “Power of Viruses 2024”  International symposium comprehensively covering key topics in virology med följande agenda :

The inaugural Power of Viruses conference, held in Poreč in 2018, comprehensively covered key topics in virology. This time we will gather experts from Croatia and abroad to discuss numerous issues related to viruses, exchange experiences and knowledge, stimulate further development of virology in Europe, particularly in southeastern Europe, and promote international collaboration among virologists across different sub-fields including medicine, plant, and veterinary virology.

The scientific programme will be prepared by an international scientific committee of virologists from various fields.

Building upon the resounding success of our previous gathering, we are committed to strengthening scientific bonds among research groups in neighbouring countries and beyond. This symposium is organised by the Croatian Microbiological Society in collaboration with the Croatian Society for Clinical Microbiology – Virology Section, the Slovenian Microbiological Society, and the Hungarian Society for Microbiology.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are eager to provide a welcoming and convivial atmosphere for socialising, ideas exchange, and forging new connections.

Har vi stött på HoloMonitor i Virus-sammanhang tidigare? Inte mig veterligen. Då blir ju funderingen om det möjligtvis är så att folket på Altium listat ut ett nytt användningsområde och med det en ny marknad. 

Tecken finns på att vi ska vara beredda på en ny epidemi lik Covid-19. Har för mig att jag nyligen läste nåt om en panikliknande nerstängning av en tågstation i Tyskland (Berlin?) för att man misstänkte att det fanns virus liknande Covid-19 hos folk i omgivningen. Nån med bättre koll kan kanske verifiera eller avvisa den infon.

Last week, I got to present on behalf of Phase Holographic Imaging at the hashtag#FEBS3+ Meeting in beautiful Pula, Croatia, on hashtag#QuantitativePhaseImaging and the waves this technology has been making in live cell analysis. 🌊🔬

Bonus: managed to squeeze in some late summer sun before heading back to Sweden! ☀️

The scientific program was absolutely packed with exciting topics—biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, and biomedicine. I had some interesting conversations about hashtag#3Dcellculture and new research tools & methods that are catching people’s attention.

Catching up with scientists and industry experts over poster sessions and coffee was a huge energy boost! ☕☕
➡️These chats really made it clear to everyone how valuable real-time, non-invasive cell monitoring is, whether you're in research or clinical work.


A work highlight of the week?

Demonstrating how PHI's hashtag#HoloMonitor provides label-free hashtag#QPI data for single-cell tracking—especially in distinguishing cell migration vs motility. It sparked some fun conversations: "Do you really know what your cells are up to? 🏖️😉"

Big thanks to Ines Topalović Piteša for the valuable discussions on regional sales strategies. Excited to see how we grow in the Adria region Altium Croatia 💬

QPI som vi vet är hett för närvarande. Månne Lisas mässande om detta ämne kan kopplas samman med VD-Patriks uttalande om att HoloMonitor är på väg mot att bli AI-kompatibel? När/om det sker öppnas många dörrar för instrumentet dristar jag mig till att påstå. Sen en personlig reflektion : Jag har ett gott öga till Lisa. 

Hon är en stor tillgång för PHI anser jag. Extremt välutbildad inom bio-kemi och snackar med forskare på deras eget "språk" förutom att prata amerikanska som en inföding. Lisa har väl besökt USA och lobbat för HoloMonitor även där har jag för mig. Vi får hoppas att PHI ser till att behålla henne för lång tid framåt då hon är en utmärkt talesperson för Holomonitor och Bolaget.
